Electric curtain tracks Somfy and Torro

A motorised curtain track is an aluminium track with an electric drive that opens and closes the curtains for you: from a remote, a wall switch, on a schedule or as part of a smart home scene. It comes into its own where the curtains are simply out of reach — double-height panoramic windows, curtains behind furniture, a row of windows along a whole wall. We make two motorised track systems and build every set for the particular window.

The system on Somfy motors — Glydea Ultra, Movelite, Irismo

The main system: a 30 × 25 mm track and quiet French motors. Somfy. Glydea Ultra 35e/60e moves curtains weighing up to 60 kg along tracks up to 12 metres long — the level used in hotels and conference halls. Movelite 35 — the ideal choice for a home: curtains up to 35 kg, controlled by a switch (WT/DCT) or a radio remote (RTS). And the Irismo 45 WireFree RTS runs on a Li-ion battery: no wiring, no chasing out walls, up to 45 kg of fabric and around 250 opening cycles per charge.

Torro — for the heaviest curtains

The second system is Torro with the AM75 and AM50 motors (230 V). On a straight track it comfortably moves up to 87 kg of fabric, and in tandem — with a motor at each end of the track — even more. It supports RF radio control, a dry contact and the RS485 protocol, so it slots easily into professional automation systems. Track colour: white or black.

How long can a motorised track be?

A single-piece track runs up to 7 m, or with a connector up to 12 m; curves of R 30/45 cm, a large arc and corner solutions mean the track follows a bay window or the corner of the room.

Will the motor cope with heavy curtains?

Yes: Glydea Ultra 60e moves up to 60 kg of fabric, or up to 87–90 kg in tandem. The speed is 12.5–20 cm/s, with a smooth start and finish.

What is Touch Motion?

You give the curtain a tug by hand and the motor takes it the rest of the way. Add a wall switch, an RTS/RF radio remote and smart home integration (RS485, dry contact), and morning and evening scenes run by themselves.

What if there is no socket by the window?

There is a Irismo 45 RTS runs on a Li-ion battery — no wiring and no chasing out walls; it needs charging a few times a year depending on how much you use it.
