Description

Enigma vertical blinds for trapezium windows

Enigma 89/127 mm is a dedicated vertical blind system for windows with an angled top: trapezium structures, roof windows, glazed walls and non-standard architectural openings. The sloping headrail is made individually to the exact dimensions of the window, so the blind follows its geometry neatly and looks like a proper part of the interior rather than a technical compromise.

The system is supplied with vertical louvres 89 or 127 mm wide. Each louvre is cut to its own length, so the bottom edge of the blind stays level even where the top of the window slopes steeply. Louvre lengths can be fine-tuned during installation itself.

Comfortable light control

The louvres are tilted with a chain, letting you vary the level of light and privacy smoothly. The blind is drawn across with a cord. A special tensioner keeps the mechanism steady and stops the louvres from sliding on their own along the sloping headrail.

Why people choose the Enigma system

  • suits trapezium and angled windows;
  • two louvre widths — 89 and 127 mm;
  • bespoke manufacture to the dimensions of the particular opening;
  • manual length adjustment of every louvre;
  • easy control of light levels and privacy;
  • the option of fixing to the ceiling, the wall or a suspended ceiling;
  • a neat rounded headrail that sits well in a modern interior.

To place the order we need the dimensions of sides A, B and C. The permissible angle and the maximum width of the structure are calculated individually: the steeper the slope, the narrower the possible width of the system. According to the technical documentation, sloping headrails are produced after a preliminary consultation, and the recommended maximum angle is up to 45°.

A bespoke solution from FENSTORA

We carry out a professional survey, choose a suitable fabric, calculate the load on the mechanism and make the blind to match the exact shape of the window. The result is a functional sun protection system that highlights the unusual architecture of the room and gives you comfortable light control even on the most awkward windows.

Get a quote for a trapezium blind

Enter the width and the two heights of your angled window — the calculator works out the slope, checks it against the Enigma data sheet and shows the price including VAT.

A — the height of the tall side, B — the height of the short side, C — the width of the opening. All dimensions in centimetres. The slope is α = arctan((A−B)/C); per the Enigma data sheet it must not exceed 45°, and the permissible width depends on the angle — the calculator checks this. For a triangular window enter B = 0.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about trapezium blinds

How does the blind work on an angled window?

Curtain track Enigma is made at an angle to match your pitch, and every louvre is cut to its own length. The louvres tilt on their axis and draw along the slope, so the blind follows the shape of the window with no gaps at the top.

What angle of slope is possible?

Sloping headrails are made after a preliminary consultation about the specific window: our fitter measures the angle on site and the manufacturer confirms that it can be produced. That is why a professional survey is always the first step.

What are the maximum dimensions?

The Enigma system is designed for headrails up to 700 cmwide; each louvre length is adjusted separately — handy for stepped sills too.

Which fabrics are available?

The same as for ordinary vertical blinds: semi-transparent and dense, dozens of colours, louvres of 89 or 127 mm. We bring samples to the survey — you see the fabric in your own light straight away.

How much does it cost and how do I order?

The price is calculated individually once the angle and dimensions are measured — send us an enquiry and our fitter will come with samples. Professional surveying throughout Latvia and the Baltics, we also work across Europe. Production takes 6–15 working days.
