A top-mounted system: the box, made of high-quality PVC, is fitted directly to the window frame via adaptation profiles, matched to the geometry of the particular window system, — the window and the shutter arrive on site and are installed as one unit. Three degrees of integration are possible: with no build-in, with partial build-in and with full integration into the facade, where the front face of the box accepts plaster, insulation and even brickwork.
Inside, the box is insulated with foamed Neopor (EPS) — from the same family as modern facade insulation. Measured by the IFT Rosenheim institute, the heat transfer coefficient of the SKT 230/170 box with a built-in mosquito net is Usb = 0.73 W/(m²K): the cold stays outside rather than above the window. Narrow aluminium guide rails for maxi/mini profiles provide an additional thermal break.
Three variants cover everything from a new build to replacing the windows in a panel block. One box can hold one or several curtains — handy for wide glazing and balcony units. The curtain uses PVC profiles PT 37/52 or foam-filled aluminium PA 37–55; operation ranges from a cord to a motor controlled from your smartphone.
